We are currently looking to recruit for the following positions:

Green Keeper

Purpose of Role: To carry out routine golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the Course Manager in accordance with the Company’s Training and Health and Safety manuals.

Duties to include:

  • Mowing – Greens, tees, approaches, rough, semi rough, fairways, tee banks,
  • Bunker maintenance – weeding, edging, flymoing/strimming, raking, leveling, and redistribution of sand as required.
  • Golf course maintenance – fertiliser application, topdressing, aeration, hole changing, rolling, tractor driving with implements, strimming, divoting tees, edging pathways, maintaining course furniture , basic tree maintenance, prepare ground to establish seed/turf, scarification, irrigating, turfing, seeding, ditch maintenance, course set up, identifying and controlling weeds, identifying and controlling pests, identifying  and control of turf diseases and disorders.
  • Machinery maintenance – prestart checks, wash down at end of day, prepare for storage, report any faults.
  • Cleaning practices – cleaning of compound facilities including kitchen area as per rota.
  • Adhere to compound lock up procedure
  • At all times, to work within the Company’s health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and golfers
  • Any other duties as required to achieve the expected standard



Function Supervisor

Purpose of Role: Responsible for the efficient day to day running of the Club operations and services. To encourage the full co-operation of all the staff in order to accomplish departmental objectives; ensure that the Club operates effectively and profitably.

Duties to include:

  • To be ready, changed and set to start work at your appointed hour.
  • To be clean and correct of uniform with shoes polished with your name badge.
  • To know not to use their personal mobile phones whilst at work unless on their break or in the case of an emergency
  • To be able to read and understand the weekly catering sheet
  • To master the basic till operations for the service of both food and beverages from the bar
  • To ensure that the cleaning rota is checked daily and adhered to in order to keep the bar clean and tidy.
  • The opening up of the Terrace/Carris/Orangery bar for the beginning of the daily/function business
  • The Closing Down of the Terrace/Carris/Orangery Bar after service
  • The Checking off of the bar floats
  • To be able to assist with reception drinks for functions especially Weddings where the trays of drinks need to be offered to clients
  • The use both in starting up, use of and closing down of the glass wash machine in the bars.
  • To learn the various drinks, the glasses that should be used and the appropriate measures
  • To be able to serve ordered foods to the clients in the appropriate manner with the correct cutlery/napkin/sauces


House Porter

Purpose of Role: Preparation of various function rooms to include moving light and heavy equipment to the area required. Setting up all audio visual equipment.

Duties to include:

  • Setting up and clearing of rooms for functions
  • Moving of packages and equipment, both light and heavy whilst observing the manual handling directives
  • Assistance with the service of food and beverages as required


Bar Person

Purpose of Role:  To provide a full bar service to ensure functions and events run in an efficient and effective manner.

Duties to include:

  • Preparation of bar and service area for all functions
  • Service of hot and cold beverages
  • Service of hot and cold  food
  • Service of wine and alcoholic drinks


Kitchen Porter

Purpose of the role: Assisting the Kitchen Team with the cleaning of the kitchen and wash up areas.

Duties to include:

  • Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas.
  • Washing dishes manually and also by using the dishwasher.
  • Assisting in basic food preparation.
  • Cleaning pots, pans and any other kitchen utensils.
  • Maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations.
  • Storing away all crockery, cutlery and glassware.
  • Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
  • Emptying bins when they are full.
  • Reporting any faulty equipment to the Head Chef.
  • Keeping the storerooms clean and organised at all times.
  • Keeping breakages down to a minimum.
  • Complying with the daily cleaning rotas.
  • Attending company training programmes when required.
  • Accepting food deliveries from suppliers and storing them.
  • Using the correct amount of specialist chemicals when cleaning work surfaces and equipment.
  • Ensuring that at the end of the shift the kitchen is ready for the morning staff.
  • The above listed items are the main duties you will perform.


Part Time Waiter/Waitress

Purpose of role: To provide a full Waiter/Waitress service to ensure functions and events run in an efficient and effective manner.

Duties to include:

  • Preparation of all service areas for the days functions according to information provided on the catering sheet
  • Service of hot and cold beverages
  • Service of hot and cold  food
  • Service of wine and alcoholic drinks
  • Cleaning and polishing cutlery
  • Clearing plates, ensuring they are stacked correctly and safely on the clearing trolley
  • Cleaning service area following events and polishing any cutlery
  • Main Hall and all service areas to be kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Assisting with functions as required
  • The above listed items are the main duties you will perform. You will be asked to assist other departments during busy periods.
